Professionals Photographers not in favor of using Digital Cameras
Digital cameras have been selling like hot cakes over the years and many people are trying out photography with these digital cameras in their hands. But according to critics, photography, being a very delicate form of art, is being completely ruined by these digital cameras that are doing all the labor that had to be done by the photographer in the past with technologies such as steady shot, color balancing and such others. As a result, the subtle art that photography used to be is losing its essence and this has been a major cause for concern in many of the photography clubs all over the world. It seems that the debate regarding the use of technology is not one that will end very quickly.

Photography and Technology
Photography and the use of cameras is one of the most delicate forms of art and in many cases, the quality of the picture might just depend on the equipment that you are using and not only on your skill and eye for a beautiful view. Back in the old days, with very limited equipment, the quality of the shots depended mostly on the skill of the photographer but with the variety of tools now available to help make your photos look even better, you need to be adapted to the use of technology as well. You need to be well versed in the use of photo editing software like Picasa and Photoshop to be able to add that extra bit to your photos as well. Finally, the equipment that you buy, the camera’s zooming capabilities and its pixilation are also very important.

Baby Photography
Specializations in photography have always been there. But a relatively new and tricky area to have opened in recent times is that of baby photography where snaps are clicked of a child when it is less than a year old. Baby photography is a truly tricky venture, for the little ones do little else than sleep, eat and cry. They do not pose like grown-ups and have to be clicked when they are spontaneously doing some activity that provides a great shot. The photographer must be very patient and have a genuine interest in the baby to produce effective results.
Social photography
This is a kind of photography which involves the interaction between individuals who click photographs of various places, people and things, and share their experiences with each other through their photographs. Socially connected photographers have emerged all over the world and are connected to each other through social networking sites and photo sharing platforms, blogs etc. With the latest advancements in technology and the increment in the tech-savviness of people, photographs are continuously being uploaded through mobile phones and other portable devices almost as soon as they are taken. This has started a new trend of photo journalism and amateur photography. Thus, Social photography has really laid its impact on almost everything – from products to consumer trends.
21st Century Snapshots
Photography is something that most individuals would like to try and assume they would be good at. There is, however, more than meets the eye when it comes to photography. Firstly your camera doesn’t matter; it is an artist’s eye, skill and patience that make a photograph and not his tools. The key is emphasising patterns around us. A symmetrical shot can be good with composition and a good point of interest, without which the picture becomes predictable. Focus on texture can make an otherwise two dimensional image come alive. The depth of field may either isolate an object from its background and foreground or put the image in context by revealing its surroundings. Finally lines can play an important part in photography, as they can draw the eye to key focal points. Keep these points in mind the next time you step out to take a picture.
