21st Century Snapshots

Photography is something that most individuals would like to try and assume they would be good at. There is, however, more than meets the eye when it comes to photography. Firstly your camera doesn’t matter; it is an artist’s eye, skill and patience that make a photograph and not his tools. The key is emphasising patterns around us. A symmetrical shot can be good with composition and a good point of interest, without which the picture becomes predictable. Focus on texture can make an otherwise two dimensional image come alive. The depth of field may either isolate an object from its background and foreground or put the image in context by revealing its surroundings. Finally lines can play an important part in photography, as they can draw the eye to key focal points. Keep these points in mind the next time you step out to take a picture.
